Reservations and Confirmations

All reservations are subject to availability. Full payment of the reservation is required at time of booking to confirm the reservation. We endeavour to reply to all booking enquiries received via email within twenty-four hours.

Please ensure that you provide valid contact details (mobile phone number preferably, but a regularly checked email or the name of your accommodation in Broome will suffice also) when making your reservation. We will not accept any liability if the contact details you have provided are incorrect or unchecked and we are unable to get in touch with you to confirm your booking which may render your reservation as cancelled.

Passenger Weight Restrictions

Broome Camel Safaris always places the welfare and happiness of our animals and the safety of our guests at highest priority and adopt a weight restriction for passengers.

  • With Broome Camel Safaris, two passengers ride each camel.
  • The individual weight of a passenger must not exceed 90 kilograms (198 pounds or 14 stone), and the combined weight of two passengers must not exceed 170 kilograms (375 pounds or 27 stone).

Body weights will be required at time of booking and your booking cannot be confirmed if the weights are not provided.

Tour Rates

All tour rates are in Australian Dollars and are inclusive of GST. Rates are quoted at time of booking and may vary due to Broome’s seasonal variations

  • “Wet Season” rates are valid from 1 November to 31 March.
  • “Shoulder Season” rates will apply from 1st April to 31 May.
  • “High Season” rates will apply from 1 June to 31st October.

Ages of passengers are as follows

  • Children- 5-15 years of age and must not exceed 60kg (or will ride as an adult fare)
  • Adults- Over 16 years of age
  • Lap-sitters- 0-4 years of age and will ride sharing a seat with a responsible adult.

Our Cancellation Policy

We understand that unexpected things do happen, and wherever possible we will try and work with you rescheduling, cancelling or refunding your tour. Extenuating circumstances are dealt with on a case-by-case basis by management.

We offer a full refund if the cancellation (or amendment to the booking) is made (and confirmed received by us) 24 or more hours prior to the tour starting time.

Unfortunately, we must apply a 100% cancellation fee if the cancellation is received within the above times. Guests not attending the tour with no previous contact with us will be charged 100% cancellation fee.

Broome Camel Safaris reserves the right to cancel or amend tours due to inclement weather, conditions of the beach/tides or the well-being or health of our animals. Full refunds will be provided in these instances. It is important that you check your mobile/email prior to your tour in case of any tour changes that we need to communicate to you.

On Tour

Please arrive on time. The meeting time” that participants are given at the time of confirmation is the check-in time which is compulsory. After checking in, you will be involved in a safety induction before the tour itself begins. Arriving 10 minutes after the “meeting time” will be deemed as a “no-show” and will be unable to participate in the tour. Refunds will not be provided in this instance.

Meet us to the “North of the Rocks” on Cable Beach and look for the camels in blue blankets. Simply check in at our vehicle, you will require your tour details (electronically is fine). Guests are asked to leave any heavy bags or loose items in our vehicle for the duration of the tour and BCS will take all reasonable care to protect this property.

For safety reasons, BCS will refuse the participation of any individual that they believe is to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Similarly, anyone that disregards or is unable to understand the safety induction or the instructions of our cameleer staff will also be unable to participate. Refunds will not be provided in these instances. Smoking is prohibited whilst riding our camels and during the entirety of the tour (including the safety induction).

Guests with Additional Needs

BCS will to accommodate all guests where possible, including those with medical conditions or disabilities. Please advise at time of booking of any additional needs of guests and participation will be decided up on a case-by-case basis where the safety of the guest, camel and staff is ensured.

Please ensure you bring any medication required to the tour and advise staff upon checking in.

Ride at Own Risk

  • Whilst all reasonable care and every precaution is taken, all riders tour with Broome Camel Safaris at their own risk.
  • Broome Camel Safaris is covered by Public Liability Insurance.
